We are delighted to name Giuseppe Rosano, MD, PhD, as an active collaborator on the chronic heart failure studies we conduct at Richmond Pharmacology
Dr Rosano is Professor of Cardiology and Consultant Cardiologist (Hon) at St Georges University of London and Scientific Director for Nutramed Consortium at the IRCCS San Raffaele in Rome. He has extensive experience in cardiovascular pharmacology, heart failure, ergometry, echocardiography and vascular ultrasound. Dr Rosano’s Research interests include clinical pharmacology, gender differences in cardiovascular diseases, heart failure, is chemicheart disease, microvascular angina, and the cardiovascular effects of non cardiovascular drugs.
Dr Rosano provides expert consultancy advice and is actively involved in the initial and subsequent assessment of patients enrolled in heart failure studies at Richmond Pharmacology.

Dr Rosano is a Member of the Cardiovascular Working Party at the European Medicines Agency, a Member of the European Assessment Board at the Italian Drug Agency (AIFA) and he is a Board member of the Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).
Previously, he was Vice-Chair of the SAG Cardiovascular at the European Medicines Agency, Director of the Department of Medical Sciences at the IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital In Rome, a Member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Space Agency the and a Member of the Pricing and Reimbursement Committee at AIFA.
After obtaining his MD in Medicine and Surgery at the La Sapienza University of Rome with full honors in 1988, Dr Rosano obtained his specialisation in Cardiology in 1992, before attaining his MSc and his PhD in Medical Sciences from the Imperial College in London.
Dr Rosano is a member of the editorial boards of several scientific journals, including International Journal of Cardiology (associate editor), Maturitas, Heart, Advanced Therapy and Cardiovascular Diabetology. He is Editor in Chief of International Journal of Cardiology Metabolic & Endocrine and of Clinical Trials and Regulatory Science in Cardiology.
He has published more than 300 articles in peer reviewed Journals.
