  • Remember to bring your ID Card - it is the first item that you will be asked for on arrival at your bed.
  • Write down details of any changes to your medications since your last visit, including levels of dosage, to be ready to answer necessary medical questions accurately.
  • Write down details of any hospital visits since your last visit and any consequences.
  • Remember to silence or turn down (or off) the volume of your mobile phone to avoid disturbing your fellow participants.
  • It is a good idea to wear loose clothing - for example, lifting a loose top can help in the attachment of electrodes for cardiograph monitoring and wearing tops with short sleeves can help with personal comfort and use of one’s arms when a cannula is inserted and operated.
  • Covid procedures prevent the supply of magazines, so it may be a good idea to bring reading material with you.
  • If you bring an iPad or similar (including phones) for entertainment or work, please bring headphones to minimise disturbance to others - the Wi-Fi code set up is RPLLB2001+
  • Please do not film or take photos within the building without express permission.
  • Consider wearing footwear that is easy to slip on and off and to avoid wearing them on the beds.
  • It may be a good idea to prepare a check list at home to help to remember these and any other regular needs before your Richmond visits.
