Study overview

This trial will study whether the investigational drug will reduce liver fat, liver injury, and liver scarring in patients with MASH.

You will be reimbursed for your travel expenses and your time if you take part in this clinical trial.

The trial drug will be given as an injection under the skin.

This clinical trial is divided into two parts.

We are recruiting for Part B:

Up to 28 participants with MASH will take part in Part B of the study.

You will receive two doses of the study treatment, given 12 weeks apart.

The study includes a screening period, a treatment period, and a follow up period.

You will have regular clinical assessments to monitor safety, tolerability, liver fat changes, and how the drug behaves in your body.

What you receive for taking part

You will receive £4,150 on completion of the clinical trial.

Payment is made once you complete the trial and follow all study requirements.

The total payment includes £2,766.67 for participation and £1,383.33 for compliance.

If additional visits are required, payment will be adjusted on a pro rata basis.

What taking part in the study involves

Screening appointments

You will attend 3 screening visits to check if you are suitable for the trial. Includes blood tests, heart checks, physical exam, liver scans and possible biopsy.

Treatment period

If eligible, you will receive 2 doses of the study treatment 12 weeks apart. Treatment is given as an injection under the skin.

Follow up visits

You will attend 5 follow up visits over 9 months.

Total study duration

The full study lasts approximately 58 weeks from your first screening visit to your final visit. Regular assessments monitor safety, tolerability and how the drug affects your body.

Who can take part

You may be eligible if you

Are aged between 18 and 65

Have been diagnosed with MASH

Have a BMI between 30 and 40 at your first screening visit

Are willing and able to attend all study visits and procedures

You may not be eligible if you

Have a history of significant multiple or severe allergies

Are pregnant or breastfeeding

Contraception requirements

Female participants of childbearing potential must use effective contraception from 2 months before dosing, throughout the trial, and for at least 9 months after the last dose

Male participants must use a condom for the duration of the trial and for at least 9 months after the last dose

This trial has multiple possible intake dates for the 4 days/3 nights in-house stay. When you are enrolled on the trial, you will choose your preferred dates from the list below:

24th – 27th November 2025 & 16th – 19th February 2026
8th – 11th December 2025 & 2nd – 5th March 2026
3rd – 6th February 2026 & 28th April – 1st May 2026
17th – 20th February 2026 & 12th – 15th May 2026
8th – 11th March 2026 & 31st May – 3rd June 2026
23rd – 26th March 2026 & 15th – 18th June 2026
