Invitation to attend a screening with health check

Typically, a member of our volunteer recruitment team will contact you within 7 working days to discuss the trial and your suitability to take part. If you are suitable we will invite you to attend a screening visit at our clinical trials unit in London Bridge – this visit will take no more than 6 hours. During this visit the study doctor will talk through the requirements of the trial and what you can expect from taking part in it, as well as answer any questions you might have. We will also check your BMI, blood and urine and other pre-study procedures that are relevant to the trial.

Possible Holter fitting (overnight heart monitor)

Some trials might require you to have a Holter fitted (a device that monitors your heart overnight), in which case you’ll need to return the following day to return the Holter.

Assessment & Suitability

Following your screening appointment our study team will assess your results and let you know within 72 hours if you are suitable to take part in the trial.

Pre-trial information stage

Prior to the start of the trial you will be sent further information on the study schedule, items you need to bring for your stay (if applicable) and general info on our policies.

Safety and comfort

During your stay your safety will be closely monitored and our staff will ensure you are comfortable and looked after throughout your stay.

Possible follow up visit

Once you have completed your in-house stays you may need to return for one or more out-patient visits and a follow up visit (depending on the requirements of the trial).

Recieve Payment after 21 days

You will receive the trial payment 21 working days after your final visit and you will be contacted by the study doctor within 6 months to see how you are doing, and to discuss any questions or concerns you may have.
