We are conducting a clinical study to understand how a new, investigational medicine may in future help people with MASH. We are recruiting healthy male and female participants aged 18-55 years.
By participating in this trial, you could help us to research future MASH treatment options.
What taking part in this study involves
In this clinical trial, we will study whether a new, investigational medicine for MASH is safe and how well your body tolerates it.
- You will need to attend a screening appointment so we can check you are suitable to take part in the study. At this appointment, we will take blood, check your heart, and carry out a physical examination
- The study involves a stay in our London Bridge unit of 4 days/3 nights. During your stay, you will receive a single injection under the skin of either the new investigational medicine or a dummy (placebo) treatment
- After your stay with us, you will need to attend further follow-up appointments. You may come to the unit around 7 times in total. That means that the trial may take 20 weeks, from your first to your final visit
Who can take part?
You may be eligible for this clinical study if you:
- Are aged between 18-55 years
- Weigh over 50 kg and have a body mass index (BMI) of ≥18 to <30 kg/m2.
- Are generally in good health based on the screening examination
- Agree to comply with contraception requirements of the study
- Agree not to donate egg/sperm during participation in the study

You could receive up to £2,975
You will receive up to £2,975 on completion of the clinical study, provided you comply fully with all the clinical study requirements. Should we invite you to attend extra visits, this amount will be adjusted pro-rata. You may withdraw from the study at any time without giving a reason.
Trial dates
The trial will require in-house stays of 4 days / 3 nights. After your stay with us you will be required to return for further scheduled appointments on Week 2, Week 4, Week 8, Week 12 and Week 16 of the study. You may need to attend additional follow up visits. This means the whole process may take approximately 20 weeks (about 5 months) from your screening visit through to your final visit.
In total, if you are included in the clinical study you may come to the study unit around 7 times.
The trial will take place on the below time periods:
- 27th – 30th April 2026
- 14th – 17th May 2026
- 15th – 18th June 2026
- 2nd – 5th July 2026
- 3rd - 6th August 2026
- 20th - 23rd August 2026
- 21st - 24th September 2026
- 8th - 11th October 2026
- 26th - 29th November 2026
